How many times have you heard the statement, “the church is not a building”? And yet what many of us most often think of when we think about church is a building. New Community desires to be a people who embody what we believe through action. To this end we have what we call “Away Games.” Three times a year we do not meet at our building for worship, instead we see ourselves as a “sent” people who go into the community to be the church in action. In 2024 those Away Games look like this:

-May 5th- Prayer focused event where we will gather in strategic places for the purpose of praying for our community and its leaders.

-August 18th- We will participate with other area churches in a worship service at Shawnee Park.

September 29th- Service focused event where we will seek to put our hands to work to serve in Xenia or Greene County. Details forthcoming.
